This tool is also flexible to your unique business needs. Promotions can be tailored for single use per customer, tied to specific services like boarding or grooming, and set with custom date ranges. Businesses can activate promotions for customer portal use, making it easy for pet parents to enter a code during booking. They can also be managed internally, applied to invoices or estimates directly by your team.

Setting Up Gingr Promotions

Creating a promotion starts with Admin > Manage Promotions in your Gingr App and clicking Add to create a new promotion.

First, name it and define the discount parameters—whether that’s a flat dollar amount or a percentage. From there, you can set availability across locations, limit usage to one time per customer, and decide which types of services the promotion should apply to.

One of the most helpful parts of the setup is the ability to apply rules with pinpoint accuracy. Want the promotion to work only on daycare reservations, not add-ons? No problem. Prefer it to apply only to grooming appointments or exclude retail? You’ve got that control. The new rules engine gives pet-care businesses the power to build smarter campaigns that align with their goals, all without extra manual effort at checkout.

Once a promotion is live, you can apply it in multiple ways:

1. On Existing Reservations

Add a promotion directly from the estimate section, which is ideal for upcoming stays.

2. During Booking

Apply a promotion as you create a new reservation, ensuring it’s baked in from the start.

3. At Checkout

Apply promotions in the shopping cart, either to the entire reservation or specific line items. You can even create new promotions on the fly (though we recommend pre-setting them to keep things tidy).

4. In the Customer Portal

Let pet parents enter a code during the online booking process. It's a seamless way to offer seasonal promos, referral incentives, or re-engagement discounts.
